Community Counseling

Reynolda Counseling Services

Reynolda Counseling uses a family-centered and strength-based approach. Licensed therapists help children and families learn new strategies to address challenges, break ineffective patterns, evaluate difficult decisions and overcome obstacles in order to lead a more fulfilling life together.

We know it is hard to get a child to sit still in an office after sitting in school all day, so we do our best to use clinically appropriate nontraditional therapy settings and play therapy when appropriate. Therefore, our therapy sessions are not traditionally held in an office but are spent walking around campus, petting and feeding the animals or helping to tend the gardens.

Our therapists are licensed in numerous fields, and we have a psychiatrist on our staff who helps evaluate children.

Reynolda Counseling services can be found on our Winston-Salem Campus, at Ibraham Elementary School in Winston, at Winston-Salem East Pediatrics and at Baptist Health Center in Winston.

The unique nature of our campus enables learning opportunities that all children in our care benefit from, such as countless hands-on experiential activities, from farm-centered activities to arts-based projects to trust-building ropes courses.

The Children’s Home accepts Medicaid, NC Health Choice and other health insurance for services provided and offers payment plans to assist those without insurance coverage.
