The Children’s Home campus offers residential foster care for children from families in crisis. Upon admission, children are placed in a residential cottage with up to eight other children and loving, professional cottage parents. The residential campus provides children with a loving and nurturing environment, led by staff training in The Sanctuary Model, a trauma-informed approach. Staff have the opportunity to support and teach children in their care while offering structure and guidance as children learn personal responsibility and life and social skills.
The children and teens also experience positive youth-oriented campus activities that help develop the whole person including: equine-assisted psychotherapy, experiential activities, weekly individual counseling, and regular family counseling. The Children’s Home supports all children in their social, emotional, and spiritual growth. With the stability provided at The Children’s Home, children can begin their journeys toward healing.
The Children’s Home receives referrals from the Department of Social Services and the Department of Juvenile Justice Systems, or through private family placements.
