The Farm is an integral part of The Children’s Home, as well as a valuable community resource. Situated on the 212-acre campus of The Children’s Home, on the edge of downtown Winston-Salem, NC, The Farm preserves the region’s rich agricultural heritage allowing the community to experience an authentic working farm and purchase fresh local farm products.
The animals at The Farm are also part of the therapeutic program for children of The Children’s Home. The animals at The Farm motivate our children to seek out ways to manage life’s adversities. While teaching the importance of boundaries and friendships, the animals connect with the children encouraging healing and caring for others, whether they stand on two legs or four.
Visitors are welcome to The Farm. To arrange a tour, please contact Kim MacPherson, Director of Community Outreach, t (336) 721-7623 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Out of concern for the safety and comfort of your pets, and with respect for our animals, no pets are allowed at The Farm.
